Client services roles at third-party management firms carry a specific weight that's easy to underestimate from the outside. Asset Living manages properties across multifamily, single-family rental, affordable housing, build-to-rent, active adult, and student housing. When a property moves in or out of that kind of portfolio, the coordination involved is real work. This role sits right in the middle of it.
The Client Services Specialist handles onboarding and offboarding of properties within Asset Living's third-party management portfolio. That means you're the person who makes sure transitions don't fall apart. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations, coordinate across internal teams to resolve complex issues, and run training sessions so clients actually understand the platform and processes they're working with. Document management and maintaining accurate client records are part of the daily rhythm, not an afterthought.
You'll also track KPIs, generate reports, and surface client feedback to internal teams in a way that actually informs product and service improvements. In fee management, the client relationship is everything. Losing a client because of a rocky onboarding or a slow response to a legitimate concern is a very real risk, and this role exists to prevent that.
The candidates who tend to do well in roles like this aren't just organized. They read client frustration accurately and respond to the actual concern, not just the surface complaint. In third-party management, clients are sophisticated. They know their T-12, they care about NOI, and they expect you to understand what's at stake when a transition stalls. If you've worked in property management operations before, even briefly, that context helps. If you haven't, your ability to learn quickly and communicate credibly under pressure matters more than most things on your resume.
The compensation range for this fully remote position runs from $55,000 to $65,000, with placement depending on relevant experience. Asset Living is an IREM member and holds AMO accreditation, which reflects a baseline commitment to professional standards in third-party management.
