Assistant Property Manager

Bozzuto operates across design, construction, management, and maintenance, which means the people running their communities carry real operational weight. This Assistant Property Manager role in Foster City sits inside that broader ecosystem, and the day-to-day reflects it: you're part leasing engine, part financial steward, part team leader, all at once.

Rent collection and delinquency management are central to the financial side of this role. You'll work against occupancy and NOI targets, which means tracking who's paid, who hasn't, and what the exposure looks like week to week. That P&L awareness extends to budget management, so candidates who've only touched leasing without ever looking at a financial summary will feel the gap quickly. Exposure to revenue and budget cycles matters here.

On the leasing side, you'll conduct tours and convert traffic into signed leases. Bozzuto communities tend to hold themselves to a high standard on curb appeal and resident experience, so the quality of those interactions carries real weight in renewal rates and brand reputation. Social media is part of the toolkit too, specifically Facebook and Instagram, and the expectation is that you can create content that actually connects, not just repost.

When the Property Manager is out, you run the property. That's a real leadership expectation, and it's worth taking seriously. The strongest candidates for this kind of role tend to be people who already think in terms of what the property needs, not just what their job description says. If you're waiting to be told what to do, the transition to covering for a PM will feel hard. If you're already scanning for gaps and solving before being asked, it'll feel natural.

Weekend availability is part of the schedule, typically one to two weekends per month, with weekday days off in exchange. Foster City's rental market draws a professional renter base, and Saturday and Sunday are when a meaningful share of traffic comes through.
