What You'll Actually Do

Turns are the rhythm of this role. Drywall patches, paint, plumbing fixes, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, HVAC checks , you'll move through make-ready punch lists and get units back online. Beyond turns, you'll handle day-to-day repair requests across multiple properties and run a preventative maintenance program that keeps deferred costs from compounding. Shaker Heights in particular has older housing stock, which means boiler systems show up frequently. Comfort with boiler operation and maintenance is a genuine advantage here, not a nice-to-have on paper.

The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. That rotation is worth understanding before you apply: after-hours calls are real, and being prepared for them mentally is part of doing this job well.

You'll need your own reliable, insured transportation to move between properties, a valid driver's license, and the physical capacity to lift 50 pounds unassisted, work in confined spaces, and safely use power tools and ladders.
