Traveling Leasing Manager
Redstone ResidentialLeasing is a skill set that compounds. The fundamentals you build closing a lease at one property, reading what a prospect needs mid-tour, recovering a wavering applicant through follow-up, transfer cleanly to assistant manager work, community manager work, and beyond. This role at Redstone Residential is structured to accelerate that compounding.
What This Role Actually Builds
As a Traveling Leasing Manager, you'll move between Redstone's apartment communities across the Salt Lake City area, stepping in where leasing support is needed and taking direct ownership of occupancy performance at each stop. That variety is the point. Most leasing consultants spend a year or two at a single property, absorbing one team's habits and one property's traffic patterns. You'll move faster than that. You'll see how different sites handle lead follow-up, how renewal conversations change depending on the resident base, and how Entrata gets used across communities with different workflows. That cross-property exposure is genuinely hard to replicate in a stationary role.
The core leasing skills you'll sharpen here include giving tours that convert, managing your own pipeline of prospects through calls, texts, and emails, and closing on applications with confidence. You'll also work on renewals, reaching out ahead of lease expirations and making the case for residents to stay. On top of that, Redstone expects this person to bring a creative side, producing social media content and contributing marketing ideas that drive traffic to the properties you're supporting.
Skills This Role Requires (And Rewards)
- Sales instinct and comfort asking for the application or the lease directly
- Strong self-management, since you'll often be the one setting your own daily leasing targets and tracking your own progress
- Adaptability across team cultures and property types within the same metro
- Comfort with social media content creation, specifically Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Canva
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up Entrata quickly
- Reliable transportation throughout the Salt Lake City area
- Prior experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service (preferred, not required)
Where This Role Leads at Redstone
Redstone manages more than 38,000 beds across 20 states as one of the largest third-party student housing operators in the country, and their conventional portfolio is growing alongside that. Size matters here because it means internal mobility is real. A strong Traveling Leasing Manager who demonstrates consistent occupancy performance and the ability to work across teams is positioned well to step into a permanent Leasing Manager role, and from there into Assistant Community Manager work. The traveling structure itself signals what the company values: people who can read a new environment quickly, identify where to focus, and execute without waiting to be managed closely.
What separates candidates who thrive in this role from those who struggle is self-direction. You won't have a single manager watching your daily numbers at every property. The expectation is that you show up, assess what the community needs most, and move. If you've worked in leasing before and found yourself bored once a property stabilized, this structure solves that problem. The work changes before the repetition sets in.
Compensation is $22.00 per hour. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, 15 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, paid parental leave, a 401(k) with up to 6% matching, short-term disability, and a continued education program.
