This role is simpler to describe than it is to execute well. You're receiving, logging, and delivering packages to residents at a Bozzuto community in Roselle, NJ, working a Sunday through Thursday shift from 11:30am to 7:30pm. That schedule matters. You're covering the window when package volume peaks and residents are home expecting their deliveries.
The physical side is real. You'll spend most of your shift on your feet, continuously lifting and carrying packages that commonly weigh anywhere from 25 to 75 pounds. Package rooms don't organize themselves, and an audit trail that's even one day behind creates problems fast. Every package gets logged, tracked, and delivered within 24 hours of receipt. That's the standard.
The resident-facing piece is where this role separates itself from a warehouse job. You're often the only Bozzuto team member a resident sees that day. A quick, genuine exchange when handing off a package does more for resident retention than most people expect. The residents who feel known and cared for are the ones who renew.
Package volume at apartment communities has grown dramatically over the past several years and shows no sign of slowing. Many Class A and B properties now treat package management as a dedicated operational function rather than a task handed off to whoever's available at the front desk. Filling that role well means understanding that you're part of the service infrastructure, not separate from it.
Skills you build here transfer directly into leasing and resident services roles. You develop a feel for resident communication, you learn how a well-run community handles daily operations, and you build a track record with a company that promotes from within. Bozzuto is a recognized name in the mid-Atlantic property management space, and starting on the operations side gives you a grounded view of how a community actually functions day to day.
Compensation for this position falls between $50,000 and $53,000 annually, with bonus eligibility on top of that. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days of paid time off plus holidays, a 401k with company match, and tuition reimbursement.
