Make Ready Technician/Maintenance Technician
Lynco PropertiesLynco Properties is hiring full-time maintenance and make-ready technicians for their apartment communities in Lawton, Oklahoma. Pay runs $18 to $21 per hour depending on what you bring to the table, and the role comes with health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
The work is split between two lanes: make-readys and general maintenance. On the make-ready side, you're turning vacant units for move-in. That means painting, swapping out fixtures, replacing appliances, addressing plumbing, and working through the punch list until the apartment is genuinely ready to lease. You'll pull from the make-ready board and coordinate with the property manager on priorities and timing.
Day-to-day maintenance covers work orders in occupied units, grounds upkeep, common areas, and amenities. You'll also handle scheduled preventive tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Material and supply orders go through the property manager for approval, so you'll need to communicate proactively when inventory is running low.
On-call rotation is part of the job. Weekend availability is required. If that's a dealbreaker, this role isn't the right fit.
One thing that separates solid candidates here: the ability to self-manage across both types of work without needing constant direction. Make-readys have a rhythm, but occupied-unit repairs are unpredictable. The techs who perform well can switch gears, work cleanly inside residents' homes, and keep a unit's timeline on track without letting work orders stack up.

- Your own tools
- Reliable transportation

- Ability to work on-call and weekends
- Dependable, team-oriented, and motivated to work without close supervision
