Maintenance Technician - Multi site - Redfield Ridge, Brooktree, Plumas Garden, The Creek at South Carson
CloudTen ResidentialSkills That Drive This Role
Multi-site maintenance work asks more of a technician than a single-property position does. The skills that matter most here are diagnostic speed, trade breadth, and the organizational discipline to stay on top of work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules across four separate addresses. CloudTen Residential is placing a technician across Redfield Ridge, Brooktree, Plumas Garden, and The Creek at South Carson, all in the Reno area. You'll rotate between sites based on project needs, so the ability to context-switch quickly and maintain consistent service standards across communities is just as important as being handy with a wrench.
The trade range this role draws on is wide: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, pool and spa maintenance, and custodial work all show up in a typical week. Reno's high-desert climate adds a practical layer to that list. Freeze protection, HVAC efficiency under temperature swings, and pool chemistry management through hot summers and cold winters are real considerations for any technician working in Northern Nevada.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Most days start with a property walk. You'll cover grounds, check pet stations, clear debris, and assess what's changed overnight before the first work orders hit. Make-ready turns are a steady part of the workload. You'll prepare vacated units for the next resident, working from punch lists and keeping close communication with your Community Manager on unit status. Work orders carry a 24-hour completion standard, and when parts delays push a job past that window, you own the communication to both the manager and the affected resident.
- Preventive maintenance across lighting, fire safety, pool and spa systems, and life-safety equipment on a monthly schedule
- On-call emergency response as needed
- Move-in and move-out inspection support
- Inventory tracking for tools, equipment, and supplies
- Hazardous materials recordkeeping and MSDS compliance
- PPE use is mandatory: back belts, goggles, and gloves are required on your person during all work hours
A valid driver's license in good standing is required. Regular travel between the four properties is a core function of the position, not an occasional ask.
What Separates Strong Candidates Here
CloudTen's portfolio includes hotel-to-residential conversions, high-rise lease-ups, and value-add repositioning projects, so the company is comfortable with complexity. That culture tends to reward technicians who notice problems before they become work orders and who communicate proactively rather than waiting to be asked. A CPO certification gives you a leg up on the pool maintenance side of things, though the company will consider candidates without one. What the role genuinely requires is someone organized enough to manage multiple sites without letting any single property feel like it's getting the leftovers of your attention. The pay range runs $22.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
