Maintenance Technician - Masonry

Birgo has been contracting out masonry work for years. They've decided it's time to own that capability directly, and this role is how they're building it. If you're a skilled mason who also carries a broad maintenance toolkit, this is a chance to be the person who establishes something from the ground up inside a company that clearly invests in its people.

The day-to-day splits into two modes. Some days you're doing exterior and structural work: brick repair, tuckpointing, repointing, waterproofing. The kind of work that protects a building's envelope and keeps small problems from becoming expensive ones. Other days you're inside units doing turns and work orders, drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, the full range of general maintenance. You'll float across roughly 14 communities spread across Buffalo, North Tonawanda, Hamburg, and Lockport, so you'll need your own reliable transportation and Birgo covers mileage.

The schedule is straightforward: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. No rotating on-call, no weekend surprises built into the base schedule. For a skilled trades role, that kind of predictability matters.

Pay runs $26 to $28 an hour, paid weekly, with flexibility for the right candidate. What you'll need

• Demonstrated masonry skills, specifically brick repointing and tuckpointing
• Well-rounded general maintenance background (drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC basics)
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted, work in confined spaces, and use ladders safely
• Eligibility to work in the United States
