Maintenance Technician

Copper Rose is a 182-unit community in Colorado Springs, and Cirrus Asset Management is bringing on a Maintenance Technician to keep it running. The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm, with a rotating on-call rotation built in. The pay is $26 per hour.

Day to day, the work spans the full range of residential maintenance: completing work orders on time, turning units within five days of move-out, handling plumbing and HVAC components, electrical maintenance, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and keeping locks, doors, and access hardware in working order. Fire suppression systems, extinguisher logs, and alarm contacts are also in scope, so documentation habits matter as much as the hands-on skills. You'll survey the building regularly to catch mechanical issues before they become health or safety problems.

A year of hands-on maintenance experience is the baseline requirement. You'll need a valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties as needed. A high school diploma is expected, and any certifications you've picked up, HVAC, CMRP, or others, will work in your favor during the review process.

What This Role Builds

For someone who takes the technical side seriously, this kind of role compounds well. Working a full-size garden-style community means you're touching every building system on a regular cycle. Technicians who develop fluency across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety documentation tend to move into lead tech or maintenance supervisor roles faster than those who specialize narrowly early on. The Tuesday-through-Saturday schedule and on-call exposure also build the adaptability that property management companies specifically look for when promoting into supervisory positions. Cirrus operates across multiple properties, which creates real room to grow within the company rather than having to jump organizations to advance.

What separates strong candidates here is less about credentials and more about follow-through. Completing a make-ready within five days of move-out requires coordination, prioritization, and the ability to manage a punch list independently without someone checking in at each step. Technicians who can do that consistently, and document their work cleanly, tend to get noticed quickly in fee-management environments where the maintenance team's performance is visible to ownership.
