Leasing Consultant - Neon Local
MG PropertiesWhat This Role Runs On
Leasing is a sales role. At Neon Local in Denver, that means handling traffic from first contact through signed lease, qualifying applicants accurately, and keeping files and data tight behind the scenes. You'll greet prospects, walk units, process applications, and prepare leases. You'll also coordinate with maintenance to make sure move-ins go smoothly and residents don't hit snags on day one.
The customer service side carries just as much weight as the sales side. Residents come to you with maintenance concerns, payment questions, and complaints. How you handle those interactions directly affects retention, and retention affects occupancy. Both matter here.
Skills You'll Use Daily
- Sales and persuasion: converting prospects into applicants, handling objections, following up on leads
- Attention to detail: qualifying applicants thoroughly, entering rental data accurately, keeping files current
- Communication: written and verbal, with prospects, residents, and internal teams
- Organization: monthly administrative tasks, lease paperwork, coordinating across departments
- Conflict resolution: addressing resident concerns professionally without letting issues escalate
One year of property management experience is preferred. If you've worked in leasing, retail sales, or hospitality and can demonstrate strong follow-through, that background translates.
