What You'll Actually Do

This role puts you at the center of everything happening at Dover Hills Apartments. On any given day, you're fielding phone inquiries from prospects, walking tours, processing applications, and following up with a new resident to make sure their move-in went smoothly. The job blends sales, customer service, and administrative work in roughly equal measure, and no two days look the same.

You'll handle the full leasing cycle: from that first phone call or walk-in through application processing, move-in paperwork, and renewal conversations. You'll also inspect vacant units and common areas to make sure they're showing well, assist with local outreach and marketing efforts, and help plan resident events. The role reports to the property manager, who reviews and approves the paperwork you process.

One honest note: leasing work requires you to be "on" with people consistently, even on slow traffic days or when a difficult prospect walks through the door. If you find genuine energy in turning a skeptical prospect into a signed lease, this role will suit you well.

What You Bring

  • At least one year in a customer-facing sales or service role; six or more months of on-site leasing experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus
  • Comfort with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally some exposure to Yardi
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, or a genuine willingness to learn them quickly
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with lease documents and application paperwork
  • A communication style that works equally well in person, on the phone, and in writing
