Leasing Consultant

The Leasing Consultant here carries the internal title of Leasing and Live It Specialist, which signals something real: the role is less about processing paperwork and more about shaping how prospects and residents experience the community from day one.

The core of the job is converting interest into signed leases. That means handling incoming calls, emails, and web leads promptly, conducting tours that connect people to the lifestyle of the community rather than just reciting square footage, and following up consistently until a decision gets made. You'll also process applications, verify documentation, and complete move-in paperwork accurately. Occupancy and renewal numbers are team goals, and your daily activity feeds directly into both.

Beyond leasing, you'll help coordinate resident events, respond to concerns with some urgency and genuine care, and assist with social media and local outreach to keep the community visible in the market. Knowing what competitors are offering matters here. Fort Myers has seen meaningful multifamily growth in recent years, and prospects often have real options. The consultants who perform best are the ones who understand what makes their specific community worth choosing and can articulate that clearly.

The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 9 to 6, and Saturdays from 10 to 4, with one weekday off to keep the week at 40 hours. Occasional evenings may come up for resident events.

What Hawthorne Is Looking For

• One year of customer service, sales, or apartment leasing experience (preferred, not required)
• Confident communicator in person, by phone, and in writing
• Comfortable handling objections and staying persistent through a leasing cycle
• Valid driver's license
• CALP designation is a plus but not expected

Compensation includes an hourly base plus monthly leasing and renewal commissions. Hawthorne also runs a structured career path program.
