This is a traveling grounds role covering properties across Massachusetts, Northern Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire. You're not assigned to a single site. You move through the JMC portfolio as needed, which means your work directly affects curb appeal and first impressions across multiple communities on any given week. Prospective residents form opinions before they ever step inside a leasing office, and the condition of the grounds is a big part of what drives traffic to lease.
Day-to-day, the work spans a real range: pruning shrubs and trees, maintaining turf and irrigation, cleaning gutters, setting railroad ties, repairing fencing, and operating equipment from lawnmowers and hedge trimmers to chainsaws. You'll also coordinate with outside contractors and suppliers when the scope calls for it, and pitch in on emergency flood situations as they arise.
John M. Corcoran and Company has been operating in New England since 1951. That kind of tenure in real estate means the systems, the standards, and the expectations are well established. Curb appeal is a measurable asset: it affects occupancy, it affects resident retention, and it shapes how a community is perceived before a prospect ever submits an application. The landscaping team plays a direct role in protecting that value across the portfolio.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with pay ranging from $26.75 to $38.00 per hour depending on experience. For someone who takes pride in the physical condition of a property and wants stable hours with a company that has real depth, this is a solid position with a well-regarded regional operator.
