Housekeeping Specialist - The Lawrence at Wellen Park ~ North Port, FL - Brand New
Davis DevelopmentCleanliness at a luxury apartment community is a measurable thing. Residents notice it in the first three seconds of walking through a door. At The Lawrence at Wellen Park, a brand-new Davis Development community in North Port, FL, the Housekeeping Specialist carries that standard every single day.
The Skills This Role Runs On
This position draws heavily on physical attention to detail, safe chemical handling, and the kind of consistent follow-through that keeps a Class A property looking like move-in day, every day. You'll be working an assigned area, covering vacuuming, wet mopping, damp dusting, spot cleaning, and proper waste disposal, including materials that may be hazardous or infectious. That last part matters: the role requires familiarity with aseptic technique and safety protocols, not as an afterthought, but as a core daily habit.
Tracking supplies and equipment is also part of this job. You flag shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor before they become a problem. That kind of proactive communication keeps the make-ready process from stalling when an upcoming move-in is on the calendar.
What You Bring to the Role
- At least one year of housekeeping experience in a multifamily setting, preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Clear verbal and written communication skills across all channels
- Comfort with general safety requirements and departmental protocols
- Physical capability to lift approximately 30 lbs and work on ladders as needed
Strong candidates in this type of role tend to have a systems mindset. They clean the same way twice because they've figured out the most efficient sequence, and they don't leave a unit until it would pass a punch list review. Residents and their families will cross your path regularly, so a professional, courteous manner matters as much as the technical side of the work.
Why Davis Development, and Why Now
Davis Development has spent 25 years building and managing luxury multifamily communities with an in-house, owner-operator model. That means the management team running The Lawrence is the same group that built it. On-site staff aren't executing someone else's playbook handed down from a distant regional office. They're making real decisions, which gives every team member, including housekeeping, actual ownership over their work.
The Lawrence at Wellen Park is brand new, which means you're establishing the cleanliness standard from day one. Lease-up communities have higher traffic, more frequent unit turns, and tighter make-ready timelines than stabilized properties. The pace is real, and so is the visibility of your work. If you've worked a lease-up before, you already know what that means. If you haven't, it's a strong credential to add to your PM career history.
Benefits include health coverage starting the first of the month after 30 days, a 401(k) with a 4% employer match that vests immediately, company-paid life insurance, paid time off with a carryover provision, and access to a company apparel store allowance.
