Grounds Specialist - The Lawrence at Wellen Park - Venice, FL

What You'll Actually Do

This is a grounds and general maintenance role at The Lawrence at Wellen Park, a Davis Development community in Venice, FL. You'll spend most of your day walking the property, keeping it clean and well-maintained from the breezeways and pool decks to the common areas and amenity spaces.

• Remove litter, debris, and pet waste from all exterior areas throughout the day on a continuous rotation
• Handle trash and recycling removal on schedule, including interior office areas and property waste stations
• Check and log pool chemical levels daily, vacuum pools weekly, and keep pool equipment in safe working order
• Inspect and clean grills regularly, including timers and knobs, to make sure everything functions safely
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager with general labor tasks and upkeep as needed

The pace of this role is steady. Early rounds set the tone for the day, and follow-up walks catch what gets missed. CPO certification is preferred, though not required on day one.

What You Bring

• At least one year of general labor experience. Multifamily background is a plus but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Comfort using hand tools, cleaning equipment, and general maintenance supplies
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work more than 40 hours per week when the property needs it
• Solid time management and the discipline to self-direct through a full shift
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
