John M. Corcoran and Company, a New England real estate firm operating since 1951, is hiring a Grounds Person to keep that standard consistent across the property's exterior.

What the Work Actually Looks Like

This is a Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm position, which is a genuine plus in property maintenance work where weekend and on-call demands are common. Your day centers on the exterior of the community: mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting during the growing season, trash and pet waste removal as a daily constant, and exterior upkeep tasks like fence work, painting, and minor repairs as they come up. When winter hits the South Shore, you're shifting into snow removal and ice treatment. The pace changes with the seasons, but the expectation of a clean, safe property stays the same year-round.

You'll also keep an eye out for safety hazards and coordinate with vendors when issues go beyond the scope of your role. It's less about being handed a checklist and more about developing the habit of noticing what needs attention before someone else has to point it out.
