Concierge- Luxury Highrise (M-F 4pm-12am)

Full-time
On-site
Reston, Virginia, United States
$18 - $22 USD hourly
Community Manager

This role runs on interpersonal skill and situational awareness. You're reading a lobby full of residents, guests, and prospects all at once, deciding who needs a warm greeting, who needs a quick answer, and who needs to be politely redirected. At a luxury high-rise in Reston, that judgment call happens dozens of times per shift.

What This Role Actually Requires

Customer service is the core skill here, but the specific application matters. Luxury residential concierge work sits somewhere between hospitality and security. You're coordinating amenity reservations, managing loading dock and elevator bookings, fielding calls, and keeping the front desk area clean and organized. You're also doing daily building walks to catch maintenance items before residents notice them. The shift runs 4pm to midnight, Monday through Friday, which means you're covering the high-traffic evening hours when residents come home, guests arrive, and deliveries need to be managed.

Strong problem-solving matters more than most postings let on. Evening shifts don't have a full management team behind you. When something comes up, you handle it or you escalate it correctly. Either way, the decision is yours in the moment.

Qualifications Worth Noting

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of concierge or high-end customer service experience preferred
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work holidays and pick up additional shifts when needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
