Assistant Property Manager

What You'll Actually Do

This is the number two seat at Neo Edgewater, a Bozzuto-managed community in Miami's 33137 zip code. You run day-to-day operations when the General Manager is out, and you're an active contributor when they're in. That means you're doing both: leasing and leading.

On the leasing side, you conduct tours, convert prospects into signed leases, and work to hit occupancy targets. You also handle rent collection, post receipts, and stay on top of delinquency. On the operations side, you coach team members, hold the standard on how the property looks and how the team presents itself, and step in wherever the work requires it.

Two weekends per month are part of the schedule. That's when prospective residents are actively searching, and this role is expected to be present for that traffic.

Resident retention is a real part of the job. You're expected to build relationships, resolve issues directly, and make sure interactions leave people feeling taken care of. Brand loyalty at a property like this gets built one conversation at a time.

What You Bring

  • A four-year degree or equivalent hands-on experience in property management, hospitality, or retail
  • At least two years in one of those industries, with real exposure to rent collection, accounts receivable, and budget basics
  • Comfort with Yardi or similar property management software
  • Active presence on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, with the ability to create content that reflects the community
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional appearance that matches the Bozzuto brand standard
  • A sales instinct. You know how to read a prospect and close.

Context Worth Knowing

Edgewater is one of Miami's more active submarkets right now, with new Class A inventory continuing to come online. At the AGM level, your ability to stand out on tours and build genuine resident connections matters more than it might in a stabilized suburban garden-style community. Prospects have options. The AGM who converts at a higher rate does it through product knowledge and real engagement, not a scripted pitch.

This role is a direct path to General Manager. Bozzuto promotes from within regularly, and the AGM seat is where they evaluate who's ready to run a property independently. If you're two or three years into property management and want to move up, this is the right kind of role to take seriously. The salary range is $65,000 to $70,000, with bonus eligibility, benefits, 401k with company match, 20 days of PTO, and tuition reimbursement.
